Damgo guide

Save video links as files on your Mac

Damgo is a video downloader for Apple Silicon Macs. Paste a link, choose the video quality and destination folder, and save the file. You can also save just the audio. A purchased license must be activated before downloads can start.

Check before installing

The current Mac download is built for Apple Silicon. Open About This Mac from the Apple menu to check your chip. This release is not offered as an Intel Mac app.

Download and open Damgo, then enter your purchased license key in Settings. Initial setup, license checks and new downloads need an internet connection.

Paste a link and save a video

  1. Copy a video link

Copy the link to your own video or media you have permission to download.

  2. Choose video and quality

Paste the link into Damgo’s Downloads screen and choose Video. Select the best available quality or a lower quality suited to your needs.

  3. Check the folder

Review the destination folder. Use Change if you want to keep the file somewhere else.

  4. Save and check completion

Start saving and follow the progress in the list. Open a completed file or its folder directly from the item.

Keep the video or just the audio?

Choose video to keep the picture and sound together. Choose audio to save the sound as a separate file, then select a format such as MP3, M4A or WAV.

Selecting a higher quality does not create detail missing from the source. Available quality and whether a file can be saved depend on the media the site provides.

If a download does not complete

  • Check that the link opens in your browser and that you have access to the media.
  • Check your internet connection and destination folder, then retry the failed item.
  • DRM-protected content is not supported. Changes to a site may also temporarily affect downloads.
